MDeverywhere Announces the Launch of Its New ICD-10 Training Portal

Training Portal Delivered Exclusively through MDeverywhere’s Practice 1st System

Waltham, MA (October 7, 2014) – MDeverywhere, a leading revenue cycle company for physician practices, announced the launch of its new ICD-10 training portal. The new training portal will provide a unique and comprehensive ICD-10 education solution that is delivered exclusively through Practice 1st, MDeverywhere’s market leading revenue cycle system.

The conversion to ICD-10 will expand the number of diagnosis codes from 14,000 to approximately  69,000 and  the number of inpatient procedure codes will grow from almost 4,000 to an estimated 72,000. The new coding system will require more specific documentation from physicians about the care provided to patients. For example, ICD-10 has added “laterality” (i.e., distinguishing between left and right) to its structure.

MDeverywhere’s training portal is a single solution for all ICD-10 education needs within a practice or clinic with diversified education providing each staff member with specific tools and training tailored to their role. The training portal includes a myriad of advanced courseware, applications, and tools to make education more practical, accessible, and relevant to physicians’ concerns, needs, and time constraints.

Leveraging content and structure provided by BridgeFront through its BridgeOne system, MDeverywhere’s ICD-10 training portal will be available online, anytime, and anywhere.  MDeverywhere’s revenue cycle systems have been fully ICD-10 compliant since January, 2014.  The MDeverywhere purpose-built revenue cycle system, Practice 1st, has a fully functional ICD-10 “sandbox” which allows clients to begin learning and practicing with ICD-10 codes. The new training portal will provide detailed training and background to support this process. In addition to providing comprehensive content, the portal will also enable managers to monitor the preparation process and assign, set due dates, send reminder emails, and track progress and performance of every employee enrolled.

Some key features include:

  • Easy to use, simple to track for training administrators
  • Access to 90+ online sessions
  • Topics include: ICD-10 Preparedness, Anatomy & Physiology, ICD-10 Coding, ICD-9 & CPT Coding, CDI, ICD-10 for Nursing, and ICD-10 Physician Documentation
  • CEU and CME credits available from AAPC, AHIMA, ACDIS, ACCME, and ANCC

“The MDeverywhere ICD-10 training solution is built to fully prepare physicians and all members of their offices and/or clinics for the new world of ICD-10,” explains Ann Bilyew, CEO of MDeverywhere. “The ICD-10 transition is fraught with challenges for physician practices. As the code set increases dramatically, practices that are not fully prepared will likely experience an increase in denials, ballooning AR and reduced cash flow.  Our solution is designed to ease the change to ICD-10 and ensure that our clients continue to thrive.”
